SOS Combatives CIC is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of our work.

2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- All directors, volunteers, trainers, and representatives of SOS Combatives CIC
- All participants and attendees of our training, workshops, and community sessions

3. Commitment in Practice
We will:
- Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants, especially those from marginalised or vulnerable backgrounds
- Ensure accessibility, including reasonable adjustments for disability or trauma-informed delivery for survivors of abuse
- Use inclusive, respectful language in all communications and materials
- Promote diversity in our outreach, leadership, and training delivery
- Challenge discriminatory behaviour or language immediately and appropriately
- Deliver services in a way that acknowledges different lived experiences, including cultural, gendered, or socioeconomic realities
4. Recruitment & Representation
When engaging instructors, volunteers, or partners, we will:
- Promote opportunities widely and transparently
- Encourage participation from underrepresented groups
- Assess individuals on merit, skills, and alignment with our ethos-not background or status
5. Monitoring and Accountability
We will:
- Regularly review this policy to ensure its effectiveness
- Gather participant feedback where appropriate
- Take seriously and investigate any complaint or concern raised under this policy
6. Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or when legislation or organisational changes require it.
