Many traditional approaches to safety education focus on sport or theory rather than the realities of violence.
This disconnect between training and real-world violence has been described by Urban Combatives practitioner and author Syd Hiskey as “The Reality Gap.”
SOS Combatives CIC exists to help bridge that gap by delivering practical personal safety education designed for the situations people may actually face.

Reece Reeves
SOS Combatives CIC Director/Lead Advisor
Reece started his journey in changing how personal safety training is delivered by being mentored by Lee Morrison, creator of Urban Combatives. Reece aims to fill the gaps that traditional personal safety leaves behind by teaching and educating to create a positive change for the local community and the wider UK personal safety training landscape.
